Austin Cook is a First Vice President in the Coral Ridge, Merrill Lynch office. He joined Merrill Lynch in 2008 after spending 8 years at Franklin Templeton Investments. At Franklin, Austin specialized in the Mutual Series line of products helping evaluate the implication of unique transactions such as: merger arbitrage, private equity deals, distressed debt, reorganizations and various derivatives. Drawing on his experience and Merrill Lynch's global resources, Austin manages portfolio risk and focuses on executive compensation strategies, deferred compensation plans, and concentrated stock holdings. He graduated from Clearwater Christian College with a BS in Business Administration and is a Chartered Retirement Plan CounselorSM. Austin is on the board of multiple non-profits in the Fort Lauderdale area where he resides with his wife and two children.
