About Your Presenter(s)

Dr. Emir Osmanagic is Senior Director of Enabling Technologies for DePuy Synthes, Spine R&D a Johnson and Johnson Company.  In this role, Emir is focused on digital and robotic technology stack aimed to revolutionize Spine/Ortho space. This includes internal and external innovation strategy, incubation through J&J Innovation Centers and overseeing execution.

Prior to joining Johnson and Johnson, Dr. Osmanagic was a Head of New Technologies and Innovation at Baxter Inc.  In this role, Emir stood up a global technology innovation team and coordinated collaborations with academia and industry to increase the rate of adoption and proliferation of innovative technologies.

Additionally, Dr. Osmanagic held positions at Pfizer, Monsanto, and bioMerieux with focus on leading teams in biotechnology and medical device industries.  During his nearly 20 year tenure in St. Louis, Dr. Osmanagic thought curses at the School of Engineering and Applied Science, develop programs and served as a bridge between industry and academia.

Dr. Osmanagic holds B. Sc., M.Sc.  degrees in Electrical and Systems Engineering, and Ph.D. completed at School of Medicine, Department of Radiology from Washington University in St. Louis.  His doctoral dissertation was titled: “Quantitative Assessment of Lung Microstructure in Healthy Mice Using an MR-based 3He Lung Morphometry Technique”.

Lilian Alevato brings over 30 years experience as a healthcare provider in the fields of Compliance, Quality, Utilization Management, Case Management and Population Health.

Dra Lilian Alevato graduated in Medicine in 1984 at University Gama Filho and attended residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Gafree-Guinle Hospital – University of Rio de Janeiro - Brazil.  She was a hospital Director leading a group of over 80 physicians in Rio de Janeiro for 12 years until she moved to USA to continue her career in the Managed Care Administration arena.

Dr. Alevato completed her Master’s in Business Healthcare Administration in 1997 at COPPEAD/ John Hopkins School of Medicine and soon after started working in Orlando, Florida in the Auditing, Documentation, Coding and Billing Compliance programs for large Physicians groups.

Dr. Alevato holds several certifications including Certified Case Manager by the American Institute of Health Care Professionals – where she is also part of the Advisory Board for the Program; Certified Content Expert for Patient Centered Medical Home Standards at NCQA; and she holds 2 certifications from the American Institute of Healthcare Compliance – Certified Healthcare Auditor (CHA) and Officer of Healthcare Compliance Certified (OHCC).

During these last 18 years working at the Managed Care field she held several leadership positions in Medical Services Organizations as Chief Medical Officer and Chief Quality Officer and Compliance as well as Chief Operations Officer for one of the few successful Accountable Care Organizations in Central Florida. She is proud to disclose that she helped over 40 practices in the transformation process of healthcare delivery to become Patient Centered Medical Home recognized by NCQA Dr Alevato is currently the Chief Quality and Compliance Officer for Central Florida Inpatient Medicine - the largest Hospitalists Group in Central Florida serving over 9 hospitals and 50 post-acute facilities.
